Bluetector presents its manure treatment system to the public for the first time

Bluetector News

More than 60 farmers and operators of biogas plants attended the Open Day at our pilot plant for Manure Treatment in Greven, Germany, and experienced the first public Presentation of Bluetector’s BlueBox Ultra up close.

More than 60 farmers followed Bluetector’s invitation to visit our pilot plant in Greven at the Open Day and got a first-hand impression of our BlueBox. Even Hansruedi Lingg, the Managing Director of the Technopark Luzern in Switzerland, where Bluetector AG is located, travelled the long way to the North of Germany to experience the BlueBox himself.

The BlueBox Ultra has been specially developed for the biological treatment of manure and biogas digestate and functions similarly to a municipal sewage treatment plant. The manure is converted into water which contains only traces of nitrogen and phosphorus in the bioreactor of the BlueBox Ultra and is therefore ideal for irrigation. Since the nitrogen and phosphorus are almost completely removed, only very small spreading areas are required. The BlueBox Ultra eliminates the need for expensive and environmentally harmful manure transports, where manure sometimes has to be transported over hundreds of miles.
